Halloween is Approaching and the Candy is Tempting!I overheard someone in line at the supermarket comment on the massive bags of Halloween candy stacked at the checkout end cap as if to say "take me home tonight" (bonus point for you if you thought of the late rocker Eddie Money after reading that). She sighed and said "it's so hard to not eat candy this time of year" as she threw two mega-bags of assorted chocolate "fun" into her cart. While candy and other Halloween treats are never going to be health food, swearing off it 100% is probably asking too much of yourself. Many of you know that one of mottos is "life is too short not to have treats!" I just ask that you do your best to make them over to a better form, indulge less often or in smaller portions, balance them out overall in your food intake that day or pump up the activity. So how do you do Halloween treats better? A More Toned Upper Body in 10 or 20 Minutes!My exercise buddy when I'm looking to squeeze in strength training workouts quickly between meetings is a Doctor of Physical Therapy named Jared Beckstrand. I discovered Jared's free exercise videos online during the peak of the pandemic when gyms were closed locally and I needed a quick planned out workout beyond the long-form ones I designed on my own.
